MJ2099 Practical Work in Developing Countries for the Energy and Environment Program

- Compulsory courses in year 1-2 of the CENMI programme.
- In addition, it is the desirable that year 3 compulsory course and qualifying courses for the Master programme (120 credits) in CENMI have been acquired.
The aim of the course is that the participant should be able to apply knowledge and skills that have been acquired in compulsory and optional courses, in the Energy and Environment programme, in a development project that is carried out in a developing country, coordinated or organised by a Swedish embassy or other Swedish or international aid organisation.
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- apply knowledge and skills that have been acquired in the Energy and Environment programme, e.g. modelling simulation, LCA and LCC.
- describe the ecological, economic and social situation in the developing country.
- analyse and discuss how new technology influence different aspects of sustainable development in the developing country.
- describe the project, its preconditions and results in a written report.
- present the project orally to other students.
