KTH Royal Institute of Technology
MF1061 Introduction to Design and Product Realisation,
MF1062 Design and Product Realization,
MF1063 Materials in Design and Product Realisation,
MF1064 Modelling and Simulation in Design and Product Realization,
MF1039 Design and Product Realization, Components,
MG1016 Manufacturing Technology
The emphasis in the course lies on a product realisation project and the teaching focus on methods and tools for the different tasks in such a project. The knowledge that is received in the course should together with previously acquired knowledge from the education be applied in the project. The project will be based in a real problem, and function, form and manufacturing aspects should be observed.
After passing the course, the student should be able to:
- Describe, apply and give an account of application of methods, processes and theoretical concepts in product realisation
- Suggest, give an account of and visualise function, configuration and form on a product
- Carry out and apply a simple project planning and be able to describe and apply a structured working method in product realisation
- Apply previously acquired knowledge in design visualisation, CAD, dimensioning, choice of material and production.
